President Message

Welcome back for our 39th season of curling in North Delta. We have a number of great events lined up this year, culminating in the Region 11 Men's tour championship in March.

As always we are looking for volunteers to assist in the many events we are planning. If you are interested talk to Laverne about getting involved.

For our mixed teams be sure to sign up with Laverne for the Mad Hatter bonspiel. This event sells out every year and we don't want you to miss out on the fun. For our men's and women's teams, please consider signing up for the Bud Will bonspiel in December. This is a great event and we would like to see more of our club's teams supporting the event (and hopefully winning the prize money!!!).

We are trying to enhance communication and to that extent:

  • We are now on Facebook - search for Delta Thistle Curling Club and "Like Us" to join!
  • We are aiming to keep our web page more up to-date. In particular you can find league schedules online and periodic standings updates

If anyone has any suggestions or comments, please share them with a member of the executive, board or with Laverne.

In closing I wish you all good luck this year on the ice, and as importantly, hope you have an equally good time off the ice socializing in our lounge.

Senior Ladies Bonspiel - 28 to 30 October

The ladies of the club enjoyed the 15th annual Senior Ladies Bonspiel convened by Betty Boyd and Audrey Shirley

This was Betty Boyd's last year after volunteering for the past 15th years for this Bonspiel and many other activities with the club

Laverne Theis presented her with a large bouquet of flowers and the honor of being a life time member of the club
