Team Daniels wins Mixed Club Playoffs

Team Zambik & Roemer heading to Club Challenge


Congratulations to Team Zambik (Monday Men's) and Team Roemer (Tuesday Ladies) who will be representing the Delta Thistle at the Mainland Club Challenge at the Richmond Curling Centre from April 11-13.


Team Zambik won the right to represent the club in a playoff held on Thursday, March 6 and Friday March 7. After topping the Wednesday Mark Hirotsu rink on Thursday night, the Neil Zambik foursome went on to claim the Club Challenge Championship by beating fellow Monday Night Men's Foe, Mike Weir (who had beaten Team Olson the previous night) in the final.

On the Ladies side the Tuesday night Lynda Roemer team will be representing the club after finishing the season 2.5 points ahead of Team West.

Seaquam Seahawks Repeat Provincial Championship!

The Seaquam Secondary senior girls curling team, that curls out of the Delta Thistle Curling Club, has returned from High School Provincials in Parksville with another 2 banners.


In Round Robin play, the Seahawks defeated Chilliwack Secondary Storm 8-2 to capture the Fraser Valley Championship. The team then went on to finish the round robin with a record of 6-1 tied with Chilliwack for first place. A tiebreaker was played to determine the championship and the Hawks topped the Storm 8-2 once again to capture their 2nd consecutive Provincial Championship!


The team is lead by Grade 9, Sarah Daniels at skip along with graduating seniors, Megan Daniels (3rd), Megan Bourassa (2nd), Heather Sinclair (Lead), Katrina Bauer (Alternate), and coach Ernie Daniels.



One Hour of Your Time is Needed

If each member of this club would volunteer just one hour per season, each event, league, and the club in general will succeed. Volunteering is very rewarding and lots of fun.
